Baptist Health Science University
Baptist Health Sciences University prepares graduates for careers of service and leadership by providing a comprehensive health sciences education within an integrated environment of learning and Christian principles. Building on the legacy of the original School of Nursing established in 1912, Baptist University is today a private, specialized institution focusing on undergraduate and post-baccalaureate education in the health sciences. The school attracts a diverse student population who share a commitment to Christian values and ethics, academic excellence, and lifelong professional development. Learning takes place not just in the classroom setting, but also in some of the finest medical facilities available. Our curriculum includes both general and health studies, as well as major-specific course work in order to prepare competent and caring health care professionals. In support of their mission, Baptist Foundation is committed to assisting students in securing the financial resources needed to pursue their education.
BHSU General Fund
Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation facilitates donations for the University to provide students with a number scholarships that are award on the basis of need. In 2020, more than 200 students received needed financial aid through these scholarships. Your gift will also support extracurricular opportunities for joining faith and career through mission activities, as well as provide BHSU students with a “Blessing Bag” of supplies for clinical instruction that they are otherwise unable to afford.

BHSU Nursing Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship was established by alumni of the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and continues to be funded by donations from alumni and friends of the Baptist College of Health Sciences nursing program.
Gifts to Baptist Foundation can also be directed to this scholarship fund designated for students who are majoring in nursing. Grants are distributed each year to a varying number of students based on available funds. In the last five years, more than $29,000 has been awarded to 29 nursing students.

BHSU Memorial Scholarship
Provide financial aid for a student and honor and establish a legacy for a loved one, living or dead. Your gift to this fund helps the next generation of health care workers manage the costs of education, allowing them to focus fully on their studies.
Gifts to this fund go to providing relief to Baptist Health Sciences University students in need facing the challenges of tuition, textbook costs, lab fees, room and board, and other expenses associated with college life. Your gift can be dedicated to a loved one or other individual, or remain anonymous.
